Why I write

From the child who enthusiastically composed 'what I did on the weekend' stories for class, to being commissioned to write personal essays for a national newspaper about the impact of Legal Aid changes on victims of domestic abuse, I have always had something to say. My journey through memoir writing has been influenced by my fascination with linguistics and a commitment to feminism, all while weaving elements of fiction into my narratives.
